Semaphore
Semaphore Mobile is a company I co-founded to develop great mobile applications. Please note, I am currently selling my interest in Semaphore Mobile. If you are not already currently a customer, I will probably not be involved in your project.
At the time Semaphore was started there was no iPhone SDK! BlackBerry ruled the day. There were some other very interesting technologies being developed at the time, including ZigBee for embedded wireless, but no iPhone SDK.
Of course, once the iPhone SDK was released, the scene changed very quickly. We saw a proliferation of so called ‘experts’ in Mobile development. I don’t fault anyone for trying to make a profit, but we decided very early on to separate ourselves from the web-app only’ shops, and the organizations producing low quality apps. We put our years of experience developing software and managing customer expectations towards building a world-class professional services organization. I think we’ve succeeded. We have a portfolio that includes award winning and category leading applications in a variety of industries. Our applications perform significantly better than the average.
I’m very proud of the company we have built, and the work done by our development team. We’ve now developed close to 50 iPhone, iPod, Android, BlackBerry and Pre applications.
